Our VOSH Southeast board member John Gehrig had the opportunity to go with his
Presbyterian Church to Santa Clara last year. He was able to provide readers for the community. This year we were going to do a mission clinic trip to Cuba, jednak, due to circumstance beyond our control, we are rescheduling it. In the interim, we connected with Dr. Reguiero and sent optometric equipment to be used for the community such as frame warmers, optical tools, Snellen charts, keratometer, and lensometer. We were able to ship 500 readers for it be able to be given to the elderly. This will allow the optometrists to be able to enable them to continue their work.

VOSH Southeast was given 10,000 readers and has approved to be dispersed in intervals throughout the year to Cuba. At this moment, dr. Reguiero along with her colleagues are providing services to children and elderly people in nursing homes to determine their eyecare needs.

We invite you to partner with VOSH Southeast in providing eye examinations to provide badly needed eyeglasses and to screen for those with vision threatening eye health problems. Whether through donations, resources, or volunteer support, your contributions can make a lasting impact. Join us restoring sight, dignity, and quality of life-one person at at time.
